Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. will be holding a town hall meeting in Tusla on Friday, January 15th, 2010, from 5:30-6:30 PM. He recently held a town hall in Claremore that was standing room only, so I recommend you arrive early. The town hall will be hosted in the South Banquet Hall at the Spirit Bank Even Center in South Tulsa/Bixby around 105th and Memorial. Click here for a map to the location. Dr Coburn: I speak for many people who believe this attempt by the democrats and the President to force healthcare and it\'s costs on us is UNCONSTITUTIONA L. I also know Republicans do not have the votes to stop healthcare or any other piece of legislation that comes down, but do you think it can be stopped? Secondly, I have heard there is a provision in one of the bills that will prohibit repeal of the legislation once it is signed into law. Is that the case, and if so, how can we ensure that language is removed?
