The House passed a sweeping energy and global warming cap and trade bill Friday. This bill, titled “America’s Clean Energy and Security Act,” or better known as Waxman-Markey, is the Democrats’ answer to the worst recession in decades: a national energy tax -- a tax designed to impose economic pain through higher energy prices and lost jobs. Or, as a recent Washington Post editorial put it, the bill “contains regulations on everything from light bulb standards to the specs on hot tubs, and it will reshape America’s economy in dozens of ways that many don’t realize”…

I live in WV and if the cap and trade goes through we are going to collapse economically. As a state many of the government programs are already broke or working off of extensions on next year\'s budget. Many of the coal companies that I know of around here are owned by foreign companies. Why should they stay? It would be more economical to mine out of other countries and wait until the laws become more friendly to them.

Worse what will states like Ohio who are very dependant on coal electric. They use the coal indirectly to process gas, farms, technology you name it Ohio has it.

Cap and trade is not just a bad idea it will crush us. Starting in places like WV the spreading like a decay outward.

God bless
